FEDERAL Member for Leichhardt Warren Entsch has welcomed moves by the Coalition Government to improve the health and wellbeing of young women in the Northern Beaches.
The new Girls Make Your Move campaign, in partnership with the Marlin Coast Recreational Centre YMCA, is giving girls and young women aged 12 to 19 free entry to the facility for up to 30 days each.
The YMCA is a community not-for-profit organisation that is focused on helping young people to get involved in their local community through sporting activities.
“This promotion is all about encouraging young women to get physically active by doing something they enjoy,” Mr Entsch said. “There are plenty of activities on offer at the Marlin Coast YMCA so there’ll be something for everyone.
“I’m hoping that lots of young Far Northern women who want to get active will take advantage of this great offer; it’s a generous initiative in partnership with the YMCA and will help them to get fitter, healthier and more socially engaged.”
The offer is underway now and will run until the 30th of June 2017.
