THERE are just a few days left for busy mums and dads to have their say on the nation’s first major review of childcare since the 1990s, without having to make a full-length submission.
Federal Member for Leichhardt Warren Entsch wants to let local parents know that the Federal Government’s Productivity Commission Inquiry into Childcare and Early Childhood Learning has incorporated the option for parents to leave a ‘brief comment’ via a simple online form on the official website.
“This is the first-time the Productivity Commission has offered this option”, Mr Entsch said.
“With only a few days left until the close of submissions on Monday, February 3rd, it’s great that the Commission is pulling out all stops to make it easier for us to take part in this once-in-a-generation Inquiry. This is a quick way to ensure people in Leichhardt have a say, which can easily be done during a morning coffee break or whenever you can grab a spare minute.”
Mr Entsch said the online form can be accessed from any device with internet access, meaning it is perfect for someone ‘on the run’.
“It’s also a simple way for educators, childcare operators, parents and grandparents who’ve used childcare in the past to share their views or experiences,” he added.
