NOELINE Ikin is a tireless advocate with a genuine understanding of Kennedy and the will and proven ability to effect change, says Leichhardt MP Warren Entsch.
Ms Ikin – a small business owner, long-time Far Northern resident and mother of three has today been confirmed as the LNP’s candidate for Kennedy in the 2016 Federal election.
Mr Entsch extended his congratulations to Ms Ikin and said he was looking forward to continuing to work with her on issues that affect the broader Far North Queensland region.
“I’ve known Noeline for many, many years she’s from my home town of Mareeba and she’s always been totally committed in everything she’s done,” Mr Entsch said.
“She continually impresses me with her knowledge of the area, her down-to-earth nature and her willingness to work all day, every day for the benefit of the people of Kennedy.
“The fact that she achieved such a swing against the sitting member in 2013 was outstanding and I have no doubt that she’ll continue to build on this as we work together towards the next election.
“I’ll be very happy to support her however I can.”
