Federal Member for Leichhardt, Warren Entsch MP, is pleased to announce the upcoming opening of expressions of interest for the Growing Regions Program, commencing from the 5th of July 2023.
The Growing Regions Program is a significant initiative aimed at supporting the development of regional Australia. The program is open to incorporated not-for-profit organisations and local governments and will provide infrastructure funding opportunities of between $500,000 and $15 million. Applicants are required to make a cash co-contribution, which varies based on circumstances outlined in the grant guidelines.
“The Growing Regions Program is a fantastic opportunity for our community to access funding for projects that will drive growth and development in our region,” said Mr. Entsch. “I encourage all eligible organisations to submit their expressions of interest and take advantage of this great opportunity.”
The Growing Regions Program will fund a range of projects, with a focus on constructing or upgrading community infrastructure. Projects that bring a broad benefit to the local community and improve socio-economic outcomes are of particular interest.
The program is a two-part process, with expressions of interests closing on Tuesday the 1st of August 2023. Successful applicants will then be invited to provide a full and more detailed application from the 1st of November 2023. All projects must be completed by 31st December 2025.
