Federal Member for Leichhardt, Warren Entsch, is pleased to announce the opening of Expressions of Interest (EOIs) for Round 9 of the Stronger Communities Programme. This initiative provides local organisations and councils the opportunity to secure funding of up to $20,000 for small infrastructure projects that deliver social benefits and strengthen communities across Leichhardt.
“This program is a fantastic opportunity for community-based organisations and local governing bodies to secure funding for projects that make a meaningful difference in the lives of people in our region,” Mr Entsch said.
The Stronger Communities Programme is designed to encourage local community participation, improve access to infrastructure, and contribute to vibrant and viable communities.
Key details of the program:
- EOI Deadline: Close of business, Friday, 14 February 2025.
- Funding Amount: Up to $20,000 per project.
- Eligibility:
- Have an Australian Business Number (ABN).
- Be one of the eligible entities, such as an incorporated not-for-profit organisation, local governing body, or specific government entities like rural fire services. (More details available in Grant Guidelines document).
Expressions of Interest will be reviewed by a local Community Committee, and selected organisations will be invited to apply for the grant through the Department of Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development, Communications and the Arts.
